The main component of barite is barium sulfate,widely used in various industries,like used as' radiation protection material 'in nuclear power plants.However, this strategic value has long been constrained by the bottleneck of sorting technology, and a large amount of low-grade ore has been forced to become "industrial scrap".
二、The bottleneck of traditional mineral processing technology
At present, barite mainly relies on traditional processes such as manual selection, gravity separation, magnetic separation, and flotation.Manual selection relying on manual visual recognition of color differences is inefficient and resource wasteful, and is only suitable for high-grade ores.
Gravity separation result in insufficient recovery of fine ore particles, and other processes need to be combined.The application scope of magnetic separation is limited.Flotation has a lengthy process, high cost, and is prone to environmental pollution.

(一) Color sorter::an efficient catcher of apparent features
For high-quality barite with a whiteness of over 90%, Mingde Optoelectronics adopts color selection technology as a solution. By configuring high-precision CCD sensors and intelligent light source systems, the equipment can accurately identify the 0.2mm ² color difference area on the surface of the ore.
With a jet removal frequency of 120 times per second, impurities such as brown iron inclusions and gray siliceous nodules mixed in white barite can be separated in real time.
(二)AI sorting machine:the terminator of complex barite
For barite with low whiteness and blurry apparent features (such as gray black sulfide ore and red iron dye ore), Mingde Optoelectronics has created a unique "spectral imaging+AI algorithm" sorting scheme, which breaks through the limitations of traditional color selection relying on apparent color difference.
It can identify subtle differences between waste stones, secondary ores, and concentrates in heavy spar from multiple dimensions and angles, achieving accurate and rapid discrimination.
